Welcome to the website for the fourth postgraduate conference associated with the Society for the Study of Theology (SST). This event took place at the University of Manchester on 9th - 10th January 2015.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS NOW TAKEN PLACE; THE WEBSITE REMAINS LIVE FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES ONLY. PLEASE REFER TO THE SST WEBSITE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THE SOCIETY AND FUTURE POSTGRADUATE CONFERENCES.
The theme for the conference was 'Images, Icons and Idols' and explored theological and visual anthropologies, considering a broad theology of the image. A more comprehensive outline of the theme and scope of the conference can be found here.
Please use the links on the left to navigate the pages. A full programme is available online, and it includes links to all abstracts for postgraduate papers presented at the conference. A Facebook page run by successive organisers of the SST postgraduate conferences can be found here. There was a twitter hashtag associated with the conference, #SSTi3 (Society for the Study of Theology: Images, Icons, and Idols); and tweets with this hashtag feature in the applet on the right. |

The conference was free to attend and was open to all postgraduates working in Theology and related areas (not only members of SST). Delegates also included religious ministers and practicing artists.
